1 · Fly the line, hit the gate
Turn on and level off within 0.5 NM of the start gate — level off too early and the long jump run costs a penalty. The gate straddles the DZ: start gate downwind, end gate upwind.
It's a race to height: settle onto jump run inside the 0.5 NM window. Level off too early and the long run is penalised — jumpers wait longer and the operator burns extra fuel.
Side-on — hold it level
Through the gate, minimise vertical oscillation: every climb or sink off the briefed altitude costs you.
2 · Closer is better
Dead on the line = 100. Score fades as you drift, to zero past tolerance.
Dead band → zero-score tolerance — the same band for every pilot, whatever the kit.
3 · Your rank = your last 20
We drop your 2 worst jumps and average the rest. One bad run won't sink you.
Fewer than 10 jumps? You're listed as provisional until you qualify.
4 · Fly it your way
Less help, more credit.
Your kit vs the band
Same band for everyone — better kit just hits it more reliably.
Accuracy also sets your quality multiplier — see the leaderboard's equipment badge.
5 · Every score is re-checked
Each run is recomputed from its signed flight record. Change one number and it's rejected — so the board is real.
